WHEELER PLEDGES LEGISLATION FOR FARMERS’ RELIEF Cooiidge Program One of Delay, Progressive Candidate Declares. By PAUL R. MALLON Vnited Press Siaff Correspondent DULUTH, Minn., Sept. 25. —Congress will be called immediately and Instructed to pass agricultural relief laws, if the Independent ticket is successful, Senator Burton Iv. Wheeler announced to his farmer audience at this northern point of his crusade today. “The only definite hope for relief for the farmers lies with the Progressives who long ago began fighting your battles in Washington,” Wheeler declared. Opponents Tricky “Our opponents would trick you. President Cooiidge has announced his farm program as 'wait a while.’ He would appoint an agricultural commission to study a situation which is obvious to every one else at present. Xo good could possibly come of it until ySu and I are dead." “Dawes, the Daugherty of the new Republican ticket, openly states farm questions have no part in this campaign and he will say nothing about them. “Davis says he would help the farmers, but he doesn’t say how. What other politician would not say as much?” Reports have been brought to Wheeler concerning a terrific drive planned by Republicans to overthrow the claimed La Follette majority in this State. Impartial observers here say that the State of Minnesota is by no means safe for the Independents. They believe the recent change in farm prices may have caused some farmers to change their minds. Claims Majority Wheeler, however, claims a twothirds majority for the Progressive ticket. At St. Paul Wednesday night Wheeler met the largest audience thus far on his tour. The meeting was arranged bv the Farmer-Labor party chiefs of Minnesota and Senator Shipstead and Johnson, who In speeches, pledged their aid to the Independent ticket. It has always been necessary to prescribe milk of magnesia and mineral oil separately, even though it has been generally recognized that, to be most effective, they should work together. Haley’s Magnesia-Oil is a highly successful combination of both. It is harmless, causes no griping or nausea, and may be safely taken in large doses. Very palatable—no oily taste. Can he mixed with milk and given children without their knowledge. The oil carries the magnesia straight to the lower bowel, the seat of most so-called stomach trouble. Both oil and magnesia work together. Their individual effectiveness is immeasurably increased and the result is much quicker and more positive action. Get a bottle of Haley's Magnesia Oil today.
