HEALTH BOARD WILL RECEIVE ALL WEED COMPLAINTS Mr, Fixit Finds Department , Will Give Relief, in Five Days, ■ i ITIZENS who have complaints j of weeds in their neigbborhood should now inform the board of health, city hall, giving names of the property owner, and inspectors will order property owners to cut them within five days. Mr. Fixit’s mail still continues to have weed complaints, but nothing can be done unless the property owner’s name is given. W. B. Sohoenrogg of the street commissioner’s office will be able to get weeds cut for citizens if the property owner is known. The city's funds for weed cutting are exhausted this year. Here is what Mr. Fixit found today: MR. FlXlT—Moreland Ave. between Wilcox and Vermont Sts., is almost impassable after a rain. We would like to ha ye some sort of improvement before winter. There are several lots out here where weeds have not been cut. We would appreciate it if you could have them cut. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn M. Summers, 412 Moreland Ave. The city street commissioner’s office will have the street filled in and graded as soon as possible. You failed to give the name of persons owning lots where weed3 are growing. If you do this, or make the complaint to the board of health, you probably can compel owners to cut the weeds. MR. FIXIT—I signed a petition for improvement of Singleton St. from Raymond St. to the Belt Railroad last spring. Has the contract been let yet? H. J. Suess. Board of works records show bids will be received for paving of Singleton St. from Raymond to Beecher Sts., Sept. 5. Contract will be let soon after that. According to policy of the street commissioner’s office, no street scheduled for paving will receive attention. It appears that you will have to wait for paving for permanent relief. TO COMPLAINT American Foundry Company using S. Warman Ave. when it is closed to the public. A permit has been obtained by this company to use the street. It will soon be opten to the public. DEAR MR. FIXIT—I have been to the city hall trying to get weeds cut on vacant lots next t£ my home. They have not been cut for five vears. Lillian Hughes, 127 Minkner St. The name of the property owner of these lots has been turned over

Two partners went in business'' one was to receive one-fifth of the money taken in; the other fourfifths of the total. Prior to the division of the receipts the first partner needed money and took SSO from the profits as they then stood. When the time arrived for the division there was $540 on hand. So the second partner took S4O (four-fifths of the amount removed by the first man). Then SSOO remained, so he took S4OO and gave his partner SIOO. This division was, however, incorrect. "Who lost by it, and how much did he lose? Yesterday’s answer:

The diagram shows the correct course from square O to square X. a course that passes through every square, once only. to the board of health, and inspectors will order weeds cut. The other matter you refer to in your letter is out of the range of this column. You should consult an attorney.
