NOBLESVILLE TO ■DELAWARES Statue to Be Unveiled in Tribute to Indian Tribe, Btt Times Special NOBLESVILLE, Ind., Aug. 15. An Indian statue honoring the memory of the Delaware tribe whicn roamed this section of Indiana one hundred years ago, will be unveiled Sunday afternoon on the John H. Talge farm, southwest of this city. The statue is located on a large Indian mound from which many skeletons have been taken. Talge, an Indianapolis business man, is presenting statue to the Hamilton County Historical Society and it will be accepted on behalf of the organization by Judge J. P. Neal of this city, president of the organization. Harry Hendrickson an Indianapolis attorney, will make an address. Miss Ruby Buscher, Noblesville city clerk, will sing several Indian love songs. The statue is seven feet high and made of pewter. It is located within half a mile of where Governor Jennings, General Tipton and other commissioners appointed by the Legislature, met and selected Indianapolis for State capital, instead of Strawtown, near this city. Northwestern Trip Ended An extensive trip through northwestern United States, Canada and Alaska has just been completed by P. J. Clark and wife, 136 E. New York St. Clark said that business conditions in Alaska were very dull because of the idleness of many mines. He visited Scott Bone, former Hoosier, now Governor of Alaska.

It Seems College Training Has No . Highbrow Effect Upon Jazz
BY WALTER D. HICKMAN OLLEGE training seems to have no effect uppn jazz music. Got such an impression after seeing William Borcher’s Inter-Colle-gians, announced as college boys who play, at the Palace. These lads dress as onljt college youths can and get away with it, sway and frolic in the accepted jazz formula of the day. They do go at their program in a different manner because they are announced as college men. 'J’hey have youth and they seem to know how to cash in on it. “So This Is Venice” and “June Night” are among their popular nuipbers. When I was present, the audience seemed to like the fact that college training does not highbrow jazz music. The comedy hit of the show is scored by Lang and Hanley in "Fool ishness.” The man is an eccentric comic who knows how to put comedy

The land was dry and the boys had to dig deep. The spade struck something hard and the lads investigated and discovered five jugs, containing more than SI,OQO in SIOO bills and coins.
