VOTERS REMINDED OF REGISTRATION - $ Efection Comrfiissioners Give Information, All Marion County citizens who intend to vote in the November election must be registered, information prepared by State election commissioners points out. Complete new registration was ordered for a few counties, but in most only voters who have changed precincts since registration In 1922 and those Who have become 21 since then must register. Three methods of registration are provided. 1. Go in person to registration place. 2. Ma\e out registration application before a notary and file with county chairman. 3. In the absence of a notary, have registration signed by two voters living in the registrant’s precinct and file with county chairman. Registrations will be held in each precinct of Marion county Sept. 6 and Oct. 4. RACE WINNER ARRESTED Victor in Colored Auto Race Faces Liquor Charges. Malcolm Hannon, colored. 55214 Indiana Ave., winner of the 100-mile colored automobile- automobile race at the State fairground recently, and George Graham, colored, 707 N. West St., his manager, were under arrest today charged with vfolating the liquor law. He detained Saturday night when police made a clean-up along the "avenoo.” Mr. and Mrs. General Knight, 604 N. Senate Ave., aqd James Jackson, all colored, were arrested when | twelve bottles of beer and some mash were found at the house. Edward • Fox” Brown, colored. 308 N. 'Senate Ave., was arrested for unlawful possession of firearms. Warren Martin. 756 Indiana Ave., was slated with liquor charges and Luther Thomas was held on vagrancy charges. • HE SMOKED; ARRESTED Two Street Crews Report Unruly passengers. William McQueenev, 3360 Jennings St., is held on charges of violating the smoking ordinance, profanity and disorderly conduct following a quarrel with the crew on a Bright wood car at Seventeenth St. and Roosevelt Ave. The crew objected to McQueeney smoking, police aay. Four charges including drunken- I r.ess, were placed against Mike Moran, 516 Eastern Ave., when he established a reign of terror'- in the vicinity of New York and West Sts., after he was put off a W. Michigan car. Police say Moran went on a porch at 518 W. New York St., and hurled a chair at Martha Jones, 10, injuring her leg. f.nd then attacked John Slater, 1122 Maple St., who was passing the house.
