That was the burden of the verdict brought in by a jury which heard the suit for $5,000 brought by Henry Leslie against David White after an automobile accident. The jury refused to give Leslie damages, saying ‘‘an automobile has the right of the way in the middle of a street or road.” Leslie was struck by White’s car while he was crossing the street a year ago.

CAST ORNAMENTS OF CEMENT USED Gibraltar Cos, Reports Heavy Increased Demand, The cement block business for some time has been taking on a varied line of production, according to J. G. Praed of the Gibraltar Cement Block Company, whose plant is located at Morris St. and Eagle Creek. The Gibraltar company has been adding to Its list of products Until today, Mr. Praed said, the ornamental products, cast of high quality cement, comprise one of the largest departments of the GiLraltar's business. Ornamental pieces of cot. ere te, when expertly made, add to the appearance of a home. Such pieces, as cement yard benches, bird brths, flower boxes. vases, ot ~anu ntal porch copings and many others of decorative value are useful as well. With the Gibraltar company, Mr. Praed said, the ornamental work department of the plant has been growing in activity for some time. Meanwhile the original line of production of cement blocks for building purposes has showed steady gain. This department his been progressing with such consistency that the Gibraltar company has been forced to add to its delivery’ equipment. The company now has six delivery trucks in service daily.
