EXPENDITURES OF CITY COMMUNITY FUND JET IT Total of $376,172,46 Is Disbursed With $303,609,68 for Charities, The Indianapolis community fund spent $376,172.46 during- the six months ending May 1, 1924, according to report filed with Fred Hoke, president of the board of directors, today. Os this sum, $303,609.68 was spent for charity. During the same period receipts •were 5368.051.62. The report states 40,000 persons were enrolled as contributors to the fund and “there was more conscientious payment of pledges when they fall due,” than heretofore. Opening of summer camps, heavier costs of foods and clothing created added demand for funds, the report says.
