FISH HATCHERIES ARE EDUCATIONAL • Indiana Has"Four —Largest in Marion County, Indiana has four fish hatcheries. A visit to one of these places would he an education fn itself. They are: Riverside State hatchery, Indiana’s largest fish hatchery, located in Marion County, northwest of Indianapolis tTri-Lakes State hatchery, Whitley County, part of the State; \Vawasee State hatchery, Kosciusko County, west of Whitley County, and the Bass Lake State hatchery, Starke County, northwestern part of the State. From these there were distributed to the waters of the State, 2,837,000 baby fish in the season of 1922. The Riverside hatchery is used for propagation of black bass, biuegllls and crappies. Eight ponds are located at the Bass Lake State hatchery. In 1920, it distributed 13,380 small mouth biuss. Yellow Cars for Safety Traction companies are constantly figuring out new means of avoiding crossing accidents. Two Indiana companies are painting all cars a brilliant yellow, because the color is believed to be more easily discernel by motorists. Pure Water Ksspntial Pure drinking water for the camp is most essential. Adequate water filters should be provided to cleanse all water thought impure.
