SEWER PROJECT PASSED $330,000 System to South :md East Side Is Authorized. Resolution for construction of a Pleasant Run and Bean Creek sewage interceptor system, serving the south and east sides, has been adapted by the board of works. Estimated cost is $330,000. The interceptor will extend along Southern Ave. and the south side of Pleasant Run and Bean Creek from White River to State Ave. It will be built of vitrified segment block. Construction will take nearly a year. Bids will lie asked later. Contracts for two local sewers, in Carro'lton Ave. between Fifty-Seventh and Fifty-Ninth Sis. and Wildwood Ave. south of Fifty-Eighth St., were awarded by the board at a total cost of $11,295. Civic workers demanding more swimming pools for children and fighting petition of the Indiana Taxpayers' League, opposing approval of the bond issue for pools, are prepared to appear before the State tax commissioners Saturday.
