SMALL GIRL AND H HURT WHEN CARTURNSOVER Si* Escape Injury in Collision —Two Drivers Under Arrest. Two persons were slightly bruised and six escaped injury when two automobiles collided at Hamilton Ave. and New York St. Sunday night and one of the cars turned over, police reports showed today. Helen Dowden. 3. daughter of Frank Dow'den, 1328 N. Olney St., was cut on the face and Ralph Dowden, 909 Dexter Ave., was bruised. They were in an auto driven by Rufus Carr of 1326 N. Olney St., who was arrested by SergT. Allison on a speeding charge. Frank Dowden escaped injury. Carr's auto' turned over. Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Meter and Miss Elizabeth Cothron, all of 1812 Broadway. in the other auto, driven by C. V. Crawford, same address, escaped injury. Crawford was charged with assault and battery.
Injured Oliver Sought Eva Abrams, 6, was bruised about the head when an auto in which she was riding with her father, Edward Abrams 1517 Linden St., collided with an auto driven by Charles Harris, colored. 2834 Martindale Ave., at North and New Jersey Sts. Harris was arrested. Police are searching for an automobile driver who was cut about the head and face in a head-on collision with a machine driven by Henry Johnson. 2127 N. Delaware St., in front of 421 N. Delaware St., Sunday. According to police, Johnson swerved to avoid striking a machine pulling away from the curb. Johnson was arrested. The injured man left the scene. Chicago Man Hurt John McHenry, 32, of Chicago, la in the Methodist hospital suffering from severe bruises about the head. According to police, he fell while attempting to board a train at W. Market St. and the Belt Railway. James Adkins, 963* N. Meridian St., and James Bassett, R. R. A., Box 248, are recovering from injuries received in an accident Saturday at Burdsal and and Riverside parkways. Bassett was riding in a machine driven by R. G. Coulson, 1933 Ruckle St. Adkins’ machine, struck by Coulson's car, ran into an automobile belonging to E. E. Sims. 670 E. Seventeenth St., which was parked near the Intersection of the streets, police said. Coulson andj Adkins were arrested. * Bicycle Struck Joe Casey, 25, of 220 N. Belmont Ave., Is in the city hospital suffering from injuries received Saturday when the bicycle he wae riding was struck by an automobile at Harding and Washington St3.
