charge of Robert Kiefner, 3017 Broadway, motorraan, at Alabama and North Sts. Emergency Sergeant Ralph Dean, who sent the injured persons home, said witnesses told him the street car was traveling at high speed. Kiefner, who was charged wkith assault and battery, said he was making up time. Mrs. Ruth Stuever, 337 Berkley Rd., received slight cuts oh the wrist when a truck in which she was riding with her husband, A. Stuever, struck a police car driven by Patrolman R. E. Westbay at Meridian and Michigan Sts. The truck turned over. Investigator Frank Owens sent James Taylor, 7, of 545 E. New York St., to the city hospital Thursday when he found the boy suffering from possible internal injuries received when he was struck by an auto driven by G. R. Morgan, 1112 N. Meridian St., near his honve Wednesday night. Morgan, who reported the accident to the accident prevention bureau, was charged with assault and battery. Police said Phillip Kaim, 3, of 1841 Brookside Ave.. was bruised about the face when he darted from
the curb and was struck by an auto driven by Carl Keeker,, 2249 Brookside Ave. Mrs. Elizabeth Dietz, 2931 N. Capitol Ave., was scratched about the face when struck by a street car at North and Illinois Sts. She was taken home. Mrs. Lodena Johnson, Alexandria. Ind., was bruised about the body wiien struck by an auto driven by Orville Workman, 1627 Milburn St., at Illinois and Market Sts. Hall Routs Men Who Assail Him Near His Home, A hold-up thwarted, an alleged burglar captured, and escape of several burglars and pickpockets were on police reports today. C. H. Hall, Sanders and Shelby Sts., told police a blow on the jaw of one of two armed men who held him up at an alley west of his home put both men to flight. Robert E.
