EXPOSITION SHOWS VALUE OF HOMES TO A COMMUNITY Crowds Growing as Building Show Holds ‘Civic Club Day.' With the Home Complete Exposition half over the crowds are growing dally. Today Is “Civic Clubs’ day.” Special emphasis is being placed on the value of good homes to a community. Very few people pass the booth of the Woman’s Department Club without taking a chance on guessing the amount of soot in a glass jar. “If every one realized the damage done by soot and smoke in the city each day they would obey the smoke ordinance," said the woman in charge of the exhibit. The “House of Health” conducted by the local Red Cross chapter is proring popular with women and children. Mrs. Hugh McGibeny and several aides take pains in weighing and measuring visitors. Special accurate apparatus Is provided. If all the displays of the various electrical companies were put aide by side it would be difficult to pick out the brightest. Hundreds of unique and novel chandeliers and electrical devices for the home are featured. Because Wangelin-Sharp Company convinced J. Frank Cantwell, director of the exposition, that no home was complete without a Ford they were permitted to exhibit. The WangelinSharp exhibit is the only automobile display at the show. Dozens of children stand in awe as Merrill Blosser. Times cartoonist and creator of “Fieckles and His Friends” brings his pen and ink characters to life. Children left The Times booth smiling as they possessed a drawing of Freckles or one of his friends. On Saturday, last day of the show, doors will open 9 a. m. to care for the large number who will attend, Cantwell said. the report does not recommend a definite total reparations figure, a fact to which Germany is already objecting. Reparations the reich now ia under obligation to pay total 132,000,000,000 gold marks. The reason the expert’s report did not deal with a total sum Is General Dawes found at the start that to try to fix a total would wreck the inquiry. The total indemnity Germany must meet, even if the Dawes plan is accepted, may be worked out in a European economic conference called to put the exports’ report into effect, or might result from a satisfactory execution by Germany of her obligations under the plan over a period of years. France probably will approve the plan. “Stop Playing,” Says Evangelist Sinners should quit playing hide and seek with God and come out in the open and seek forgiveness, said the Rev. E. R.
