Ruling of the school board that public school teachers must retire after forty-five years’ service was rescinded Tuesday night. Charles L. Barry presented a motion revoking the ruling. Bids will be received at a special meeting May 1 and contracts awarded May 8. Plans for an addition to and remodeling of school Xo. 27, Park Ave. and Seventeenth St., were approved. Cost was estimated at $72,000. William O. Johnson, business director, was directed to confer with city councllmen relative to annexation of University Heights to the city.
