Ralston for President at the Democratic convention in New York. Walter S. Chambers of Newcastle, State chairman, has been named chairnian of the committee which a conference at the Claypool Wednesday instructed Charles A. Greathouse. National committeeman, to organize. Mrs. John W. Kern is vice chairman;, William H. O'Brien of Lawrenceburg is treasurer, and Dan W. Simms of Lafayette is secretary. Other members are: Thomas Taggart. Lew G. ETKngham of Ft. Simms in a statement declared the purpose of the organization is to make plain to the Nation the attitude of Inuiana. NEW KLAN OPENS OFFICE Ku-Klux Denounced at Meeting of Independent Organization. The Ku-Klux Klan was denounced Wednesday night at a meeting of the Independent Klan of America in Machinists’ Hall. Samuel H. Bemenderfer of Muncie, Ind., national president, was the principal speaker. Charles H. Brown of Indianapolis presided. Three special cars brought a delegation of men and women from Muncie. Announcement was made that the organization has opened offices at 717 Peoples Bank Bldg.

Fresh lima beans held their position as price topnotehers at $1 and $1.25 a pound. Few changes were noted in these other prices: Green beans and green peas. 35 cents a pound; cucumbers. 30 cents each - rhubarb. 25 cents a pound; cauliflower, average head. 40 cents; j green onions, 10 cents a bunch: southern radishes. 15 cents half pound; asparagus, 60 cents a pound; egg plants, 35 cents each. Fresh limes, 50 cents a dozen: oranges, 25 to 50 cents a dozen: kumquats, 40 cente a quart; tangerines, 50 cents a dozen; pears, 15 cents a apples, three to five pounds for 25 cents.
