MEETS HANCOCK WORKERS McCulloch at Greenfield; Says Land Assessments Too High. Bt Times Special GREENFIELD, Ind., March 28. Dr. Carleton B. McCulloch of Indianapolis, candidate for the Democratic nomination fr.r Governor, was in Greenfield today meeting’ Democratic workers and voters. In discussing State issues he said one reason for over burdening taxes is the exceeslve valuation of land for taxation. He said there are many instances In which valuation of land is 25 per cent or mort of the market value as shown by sales. Dance Hall Closing Sought In a suit filed by Jesse E. Martin, deputy prosecutor and Anti-Saloon League attorney, in Superior Court five, the State asks that a dance hall and grocery in Ravenswond be closed one year as a public nuisance under liquor laws. Frank Mahan, Charles Starr. Martin Lloyd and Nicholas Noe are defendants.
