ELABORATE PAVING PROGRAM STARTED

An elaborate street paving and resurfacing program which promises to eclipse any former work of the city has been launched by the board of works. Bids have been received on many projects, but no contracts have been let. All wprk is to be completed this summer, and additional work is planned as soon as the office of John L. Elliott, city engineer, can prepare specifications and estimates. In addition, widening of Illinois St. and resurfacing has been started between Sixteenth and St. Clair Sts.
