NEBRASKA STARTS FIGHT TO PREVENT IILPRICECONTROL Attorney Genera! Pledges Battle to Finish Against Standard Company, Bv United Press LINCOLN, Neb., Feb. 2D.—A fight to*the finish with the Standard Oil Company of Indiana and other oil concerns held to be in a combine to keep gasoline prices above reasonable levels, was pledged today by Attorney General Spillman of Nebraska. Spillman has started proceedings In Omaha courts against fifteen oil companies, charging them with having conspired and agreed to establish and control prices in Nebraska. '‘■We're going to fight high gasoline prices to a finish,” Spillman said. "Either we will force the companies out of Nebraska or reduce their prices or we’ll get laws passed by the Legislature so we can.” Attorneys to Meet A general meeting of the national association of attorneys general to discuss high gasoline prices will be held as soon as a time and place can be agreed upon, Spillman, chairman of committee to investigate gasoline said. is the pulse beat of the Nation

Coroner Paul Robinson is investigating the death of a woman known as Mrs. Maude McGrue, living at 318 W. Market St., early today. According to police, Mrs. McGrue. who they spid, was subject to epilepsy, had been living at the Market St. address about a month with a man giving his name as Ned Bingham. A city hospital physician who had been attending Mrs. McGrue was unable definitely to determine cause of death. Bingham is held on a vagrancy charge pending the coroner's investigation.
