Dreadful Sideache Mrs. George S. Hunter, of Columbus, Ga„ took mother’s advice and nowais enjoying good health again, as her picture would suggest. In telling a friend recently about her experience with Cardui, Mrs. Hunter said: “After I married, thirteen months ago, I suffered dreadful pains in my sides. . Mq sides hurt so bad it nearly killed me. I had to go to bed and stay sometimes two weeks at a time. I could not work, and I just dragged around the house. I was irregular and I got very thin. I went from 126 down to less than 100 pounds. “My mother had long been a user of Cardui and she knew what a good medicine it was for this trouble, so she told me to get some and take it. Before I had taken the first bottle I began to improve; my sides hurt less and I began to mend in health. I took the second bottle and felt much better. I followed this by two more bottles. The Cardui acted as a fine tonic, and I do not feel like the same person, lam so much better. lam well now. I have gained ton pounds and am still gaining. Mv sides do not trouble me at all and otherwise I am quite regular. “I wish that every suffering woman knew about Cardui, for it helped me so much I know that it will help others suffering from the same trouble.” There is only one genuine CAJtDUI, the Woman’s Tonic. See that you get it. At all druggists’. CARDUI For Woman ’s Ills
sale, George Mannfeld, superintendent of the fish and game division, State conservation department, declared today. Friday is the last day on which furbearers or game birds may be kept without a permit. The price this year has been reduced to ?5. Pheasants Kept Here Two Indianapolis residents, for example, keep pheasants as pets. According to the register of 1923 permits, Dr. Joseph S. E. Fanoher, 4151 Graceland Ave., owned eight beautiful pheasants. Mrs. L. E. E. Storeh, 547 .Central Court, possessed tnree Mongolian pheasants of rare plumage and distinguished linpage. For bringing in the dollars, however, the pelts of the silver black fexes —coveted by many a society belle—are being sold by two Indiana companies. At Michigan City several fur promoters have organized the Michigan City Silver Black Fox Company. In 1923 they owned forty-seven of the valuable animals. Silver Fox at Gary B. E. De Bushe of Gary, had sev-enty-eight of the same specie, selling the pelts to flurriers at lucrative prices. “I am expecting at least 100 permits this year for the privilege of keeping fur bearers and game birds,” Mannfeld added. “East year with a $lO license we had seventy-seven, and in 1922 exactly fifty. "Interest is increasing in rearing of wild animals as pets and for commercial purposes. More are being reared for sale than for just their furs.” UNUSUAL PEOPLE Salute Co-Ed Colonel!
