Alexander Booked at Lyric All Next Week
The lure of the mysterious is the power back of the success that has been achieved by Alexander, “The Man Who Knows,” psychologist, recently coaxed away from the legitimate theaters for a tour of the Pantages circuit, who w'iU appear as the headline attraction at the Lyric next week. This will be the mystic’s second appearance in Indianapolis, he having appeared here once previously at the head of his road show. He has condensed the most salient features of his former production into an act of forty minutes. Mjle. Valeska and the Nartell Twins will offer oriental and classical dances. Commenting anent his demonstrations in his Simla Seance, during the course ot which he answers hundreds of questions with Gatling gun rapidity, these being written in any language and sealed as the ingenuity of the writer may dictate —he says in effect, “I do nothing that could not be accomplished by the ordinary person if they applied a lifetime to it

BUILD ON SOLID FOUNDATION, IS CONCERNS ADVICE Gibralter Cement Block Company Increasing Its Production. “Build your home on a solid foundation" is the slogan of the Gibraltar Cement Block Company. Morris St at Eagle creek, where last year more than 300,000 cement blocks were produced or the foundations of Indianapolis buildings. The plant has been operating since July, 1922. It expects to produce 500,000 blocks this year. The Gibraltar block plant occupies tw'o and one-half acres of ground. From a small plant at the beginning it has been expanded and additions have been made from time to time, until the company is able to fill orders not only for cement blocks, but also for special designs for porch work, porch boxes, vases, jardinieres, bird baths and sun dials. The plant is equipped with the most modern machinery. Eighty chase cars are used in the factory, each with a capacity of fifty blocks, and these are run about the plant on small railroad tracks. Every block produced Is cured with steam and water. There are four steam curing chambers where the blocks are subjected to treatment. Since the inception of the Gibraltar organization, Mr. Praed has made an effort to accumulate a surplus stock of about 15,000 blocks. He has never been able to accomplish this, however, because of the demand. Mr. Praed has followed the teaching of the slogan used in his advertising, “Build your home on a solid foundation,” and he has founded the business of his company solidly and has added to it by manufacturing only products of high quality.
