SCOUTS WILL HOLD ANNIVERSARY WEEK Troops Arrange Special Programs for Feb. 8-14. Local Boy Scouts will celebrate the national anniversary of the organization Feb. 8-14 with a special program. Scout messages will be broadcast by radio from St. Louis by Chief Executive James E. West of New York. Another message will be sent out by Deputy Chief Executive Dr. George Fisher from Chicago, at 9 p. m. Friday. A “patriotic pilgrimage” will be made Feb. 9 by Troop 75 to the grave of former President Benjamin Harrison, where a wreath will be placed. Scoutmaster A. L. Houdyshall, assisted by S. L. Norton, will be in charge. Feb. 10 will be Scout Sunday. A number of Indianapolis pastors have announced special services. Oil burning vessels are blamed for wholesale slaughter of fish.

ITALY RECOGNIZES SOVIETIN RUSSIA Ambassadors Will Be Named in Two Countries, By United Press MOSCOW, Feb. 8. —Italy has granted full diplomatic recognition to Russia. The Italian diplomatic representative today informed the foreign office his government recognizes fully the present de jure government of Russia and Is prepared to appoint an ambassador immediately. Simultaneously the foreign office announced Premier Mussolini of the Italian government handed the Russian diplomatic representative in Rome an identical document.
