Dark-Eyed Damsel a Familiar Figure on Campus—Will Teach in Lucknow,
By EDWIN V. O’NEEL GREENCASTLE, Ind., Feb. 6. Miss Isabella Bux, Indian student at De Paifw University, completed the graduation requirements this semester and will receive an A. B. degree” at the June commencement. During the three years in which Miss Bux has attended De Pauw she has been active in campus life, this year serving as chairman of the recent drive to raise funds for Madras College, India. Miss Bux —with her black hair coiled around her head and her brown and white native „ dress draped over her shoulders —is a familiar sight on the De Pauw campus. Her native costume is always topped off with a smile and the snap of two dark eyes. When Miss Bux started to the United States she decided to make it a “personal get acquainted affair.” De Pauw students aren’t the only ones to receive this friendly greeting from the Himalayas. Shortly before Harding’s death, Isabella delivered her greetings to him in person. Almost every week she speaks for her country at some church or convention. Recently she addressed a meeting of the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society at Chicago. Last year she won second prize in the international temperance contest. On her return to India in a few months Miss Bux expects to become a teacher at the Isabelle Thobum college, Lucknow, India, where she attended one year before her visit to this country. This time her message will be greetings from America. TWO KILLED AT CROSSING Another Injured When Passenger Train Hits Auto at Princeton. Bp United Press PRINCETON, Ind.. A Puzzle a Day MmA The drawing shows a large triangle which contains sixteen smaller ones. Each little triangle contains a letter. Start at any triangle, and pass to another triangle which touches it; if just the points of the triangle touch, it is all right. (For example: from triangle "X,” you can pass to eltln^ - “T”). Follow from triangle to triangle, and if you choose the correct course, the letters, as you arrange them, will spell two appropriate words. Yesterday’s answer: CHECKERS C HESS The two games were “checkers” and “chess,” the names are formed by filling in the stars with the proper letters.

UNION TRACTION CAR JUMPS RAILS Service in Several Parts of City Demoralized, Interurban service to Newcastle and service on the Brookside city line was interrupted early today with a derailed Union traction car at Twentieth and Olney Sts. A wrecking crew was putting the car back on the rails. The car left Indianapolis at 11:30 p. m. Traction officials said poor condition of the street caused the car to slip, throwing the rear trucks off at a turn. Passengers were transferred from car to car on the interurban line and the Brookside Ave. line operated with “two-way” cars so that service could be continued. Service on the Illinois 3t. line was delayed this morning with a broken wire at Walnut and Illinois Sts. A broken pole on the loop of the Stock Yards line caused irregular service early today on that line. A Terre Haute, Indianapolis & Eastern Traction Company freight car was derailed Tuesday night at the stock yards.

For example, you bring a friend on Thursday. You order a 45-cent lunch, your friend a 40*cent lunch. Pay 45 cents for yourself and 1 cent for your friend. Or you both order equal—say a 25-cent lunch for each—then pay 25 cents for one and 1 cent for the other. This applies also to anything purchased at the soda fountain any time Thursday (two friends together). Regular price for one and 1 cent for the other up to same price order.
