FILLING STAIN HOLD-UPjIETS $55 Armed Bandit Opens Safe and Cash Drawer, Police today are searching for an armed bandit who held up Earl H. Stuckey, 25 W. Twenty-Second St., attendant at the Standard Oil filling station, Twenty-Second and Meridian Sts., Thursday night. The hold-up man forced Stuckey to open the safe, and escaped with 155 after ordering Stuckey to remain in a washroom until he made his exit. As James Davis, owner of a grocery at 901 N. Californai St., came out of his refrigerator storage room Thursday night he saw a man leave by the front door with his cash register. police said. It contained $lB. A colored man on whom Davis was waiting left when Davis told him of the theft, police said. Officers believe he was an accomplice. Other thefts: Ray Bulstra, 4350 N. Illinois St., jewelry and cloothing, $225; Willis V. Hargrove, 905 N. Capitol Ave., clothing, S2OO. MRS. JOHN R. JONES DIES Wife of Former Representative Succumbs to Pneumonia. By Times Special PLYMOUTH, Ind., Jan. 11.—Mrs. John R. Jones, 61, wife of former Representative John R. Jones, died at her home here Thursday of pneumonia. Jones was the author of the State primary bill. Mcßride Gets $5,000 Bert Mcßride, receiver for the defunct R. L. Dollings Company of Indiana, will receive $5,000 for services to date, to be paid from whatever funds he has on hands, by an order of Superior Judge Linn D. Hay. Mcßride also requested $5,000 for his attorney, Harold Taylor, and $2,500 for Fesler, Elam and Young, other attorneys, which requests were granted.
