The motto of Eli Lilly and Company,“lf it bears a Red Lilly it’s right,”is safeguarded by a large staff of chemists, botanists, bacteriologists and pharmacologists who supervise and control all manufacturing.
The Lilly Laboratories soon outgrew the Pearl Street location and in 1881 the laboratories were moved to the present site on So. Alabama and McCarty Sts. where the company has enjoyed a healthy 1 growth. In these laboratories are manufactured over four thousand products used in the practice of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry.
