BOY HUSBAND AND BRIDE,SOJNDiCIED 16-Year-Old Youth Must Annul Marriage to Escape Law, By United Press NEWARK, N. J.. Dec. 19.—Sixteen-year-old Berton S. Tucker of South Essex, Mass., can evade legal punish-ment-if he has his marriage with Mrs. Susanne O. Simpson-Tucker, his 60-year-old bride, annulled, according to Assistant Prosecutor McMahon. This despite the fact five Indictments charging fraud have been returned by the Hudson County Court against the Tuckers and persons aiding the marriage. The indictments allege the boy pretended to be 21 and the license was issued immediately after the application was made, whereas the law requires forty-eight hours to elapse. Snowden Heirs Purchase Lease Announcement was made today of the purchase of a lease on a building at 36 E. Washington St., formerly occupied by the Gaylord Clothing Company, from Sidney Sldeman, Cleveland, 0., by Mrs. Pearl Snowden and other heirs of the Snowden estate. The purchase price is said toA>e $63,000. the same paid by Sideman at the bankruptcy sale some months ago. Negotiations are now in progress for leasing the building to a commercial firm, according to Emerson W. Chaille, whose real estate office handled the deal.
