CHOIR CONSIDERS ERECTING HOTEL WITH AUDITORIUM I. Howard Cadle, President, §ays Lease Will Be Signed Soon. Construction of a hotel containing: moderately priced rooms- and a large auditorium was under consideration today by the executive committee of the Cadle Choir. E. Howard Cadle, president of the choir, said a ninety nine-year lease for property within a block of Illinois and Washington Sts., will be closed soon. According to presenr plans, a temporary tabernacle will be erected on the hotel site to provide a meeting place for the choir. The hotel, according to Cadle, will be modeled after one in Los Angeles, which is a semibenevolent institution The project was approved by 400 members of the choir at the Masonic Temple Monday night. Cadle said the project will be financed through gifts and probably through sale of stock. He said it will cost in excess of $500,000. Members of the executive commit tee of the choir will meet Friday night to discuss the project further. MISSES DAY AT OFFICES FIRST TIME IN 50 YEARS Squire Celebrates 77th Birthday With Bad Cold. By Times Special COLUMBUS, Ind., Dec. 18.—For fifty years E. H. Kinney has attended to his insurance business and sat as justice of the peace without missing a day in his office until Monday. On that day, which happened to be his seventy-seventh birthday, the squire sat in Ills favorite chair at home and chafed under the restrictions of a bad cold, the first he had ever had. Plans are being developed by the Indianapolis Radio Club, in conjunction with the Big Four Railroad, to develop a national system of broadcasting messages In time of emergency. At a club meeting Monday night at the Y. M. C. A., G. T. Stanton, telegraph and telephone engineer of the Big Four, outlined a plan for radio fans to aid in emergencies. The radio men would not be called on in case of telegraphers' strike, Stanton said. D. J. Angus, club vice president, advocated a series of drills in preparation for actual work.

ST. LOUIS LEGION OPPOSE KLUXERS Resolutions Sent to Secretary of War Weeks. By United Press ST. LOUIS. Mo., Dec. 18.—St. Louis ex-service men today opposed the appointment of the Ku-Kluk Klansmen to the reserve service of the United States Army. Resolutions were adopted last night by the executive committee of the St. Louis American Legion posts demending Charles D. McGehee, former Methodist pastor and now national lecturer for the Klan, resign the appointment to a first lieutenancy in the officers’ reserve corps which he received last week. Copies of the resolution were sent to Secretary of War Weeks and to the Military Order of the World War and the Officers’ Reserve Corps with the request that the two organizations indorse it.
