PIONEER WOMAN CALLED BY DEATH German Immigrant in 1858 to Indiana. With the death, Thursday of Mrs. Elizabeth C. Ehrensperger, 82, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Starker. 1J23 Broadway, Indianapolis has lost ope of her pioneer women. Mrs. Ehrensperger had been in poor health for about four years. Funeral services are to be held at the home of Mrs. Starker at 2 p. m. Saturday. Burial in Crown Hill cemetery. Both services are to be private. Mrs. Ehrensperger accompanied her parents from Gemany to Indiana in 1858. During the Civil War her hus bad, Frank Ehrensperger, was a Union soldier. She was a member of the First German M. E. Church. Surviving. Four sons, John Adam, Joseph E. of Indianapolis, Lewis of Hammond, Ind., and Edward of Lafayette, and a daughter, Mrs. James Starker, with whom she had been making her home. JOKE IS FATAL 10 TWO GIRLS Drive Escorts' Machine in Path of Speeding Train, By United Press WATERLOO, Ind., Dec. 14.—Just as a joke, Mary Duguild, 18, and Stella Bailey, 19, Auburn girls, slipped away from two young men with whom they had driven to Waterloo and went for a ride in the auto belonging to one of the men. The girls drove fifty feet to a rail road crossing and were struck, by a New York Central train. Both were Instantly killed. The girls were accompanied here by Carl Grim and Oscar Longbrake, both of Garrett. Every year 550,000 young people, rather more than half of them boys, leave school in England and come on the labor market.
