Minstrel Comic Recalls An Inspiring Event
By WALTER D. HICKMAN rj—TJICK HUFFORD recalls a sweet IN I memory. Hufford Is not the only comic with the minstrel this year, but he Is the best of the crew. Field’s Minstrels this season Is built Song two lines —the old-fashioned Instrel first part, done in a modern way, but With a suggestion of the old days, and with vaudeville feature? or specialties. The show Is fairly well mounted, but commands interest by the entertaining way the numbers are introduced. I will be frank. I do not care for COLDS Break a Cold Right Up with “Pape's CoJd Compound” Take two tablets every three hours until three doses are taken. The first dose always gives relief. The second and third doses completely break up the cold. Pleasant and safe to take Contains no quinine or opiates. Millions use “Pape’s Cold Compound." Price, thirty-five cents. Druggists guarantee it.—Advertisement.
minstrels. They generall bore me to death. Who ever produced this show used brains, as it moves rapidly and the show has real talent. This year's edition of the Field Minstrels is the only minstrel show I have really enjoyed in five years’ time. Jack Richards and Billy Church are the singers who are the chief favorites. Their work in the minstrel first part is nice, but it Is In doing their specialty that they show their real worth. Good singing. I also liked Ola Ellwcod and Pete Detzel in a little fuiftiy nothing called “That’s All He Could Play.’’ f Maurice Sharr has a corking good
