WOMAN FAINTS AT , ROBBEMAT Husband Finds Wife in Swoon After Theft. Police today are searching for the colored prowler who escaped with $2.10 from the home of Mrs. John Mont: gomery, 573 N. Belmont Ave., Thursday. Mrs. Montgomery fainted when he threatened her, police say. She had seen the man with a colored woman on the street a short time police said. Mr. Montgomery found her lying on the floor. Other thefts were reported by Mrs. Mary Banks, 511 Spring St., suit, S2O; ring, $35; James Taylor, colored, 1220 Muskingum St, watch, SSO; shoes, $6: Harry Sherman, 551 Massachusetts Ave., clothing, $217.50; C. E. Miller, 124 N. Denny St., $35; Ethel Scott, 12S Smith St.; jewelry, $45; Mrs. George Spigeo, 3104 N. Capitol Ave., purst snatched, $4; and C. M. Markham, 32 E. Vermont St., sample case, SSO. Police are searching for two suffering from cuts received about the head and hands when they jumped through a window after being discovered in the garage of Fred Cook, 119 N. Noble St. CITY PLAN APPOINTMENTS Gustav G. Schmidt and J. W. Atber* L ion Are Considered by Mayor. j Mayor Shank is considering the ap- ' pointment of Gustav G. Schmidt, theater owner and ex-councilman, and J. W. Atherton, financial secretary of Butler Universty, to fill vacancies on the city plan commission Jan. 1. The vacancies will be caused by expiration of the terms of Edward B. Raub and Louis W. Bruck. Schmidt was a mini be r of the plan commission when it was first organized three years ago. Raub and Bruck have served three years. Police Trials Termed ‘‘Fair” Arthur B. McGee and Harvey Bedford, former policemen, had fair trials before their discharge Sept. 27, states an answer filed in Circuit Court by City Attorney James M. Ogden in reply to a petition for a mandate from Circuit Judge H. O. Chamberlain to make the safety board reinstate them. The answer also denied any city official “influenced” the board's decision.
