LEGION AND KLAN MEMBERS CLASH Gold Star Mother Protests Klux Wreath at Monument. By United Pres* NEW YORK. Nov. 30.—Some Ku- j Klux Klan members of Cedarhurst, ' L. L, were nursing; battered noses today as a result of a Thanksgiving day fight with American Legion members when the Klansmen tried to place a wreath on a monument to soldier •dead. Ceremonies at the monument were proceeding quietly when three Klansmen pushed their way through the crowd and laid a wreath on the monument. A Gold Star Mother protested to a Legion member, saying her boy “did not die for the Ku-Klux Klan.” Legion men removed the wreath. Klansmen sought to put it back and were attacked by the ex-service men. POOL OF BLOOD IS CLEW Burglar Injured In Entering Home Is Sought by Police.
