INTERNATIONAL livestocks™ OPENSSATURDAY Eleven Thousand Blooded Animals on Exposition at Chicago, By United Press CHICAGO, Nov. 30.—Approximately 11,000 blooded horses, cows, bulls, sheep, hogs and other barnyard animals, bleeted, grunted and milled about the great stockyards ampltheater today in preparation for the twenty-fourth annual international livestock exposition which opens tomorrow. Prize animals from all parts of the country are undergoing their last minute grooming to wipe away the stains of travel. Promoters of the show declare the animal collection to be the greatest in the history of the world. “Bluest of Biue” The “bluest of blue bloods” are in the collection. "Merry Chimes,” the white prize winning short-horn owned by W. S. Robbins & Sons. Horace, Ind., pawed the ground and snorted as the ponderous Poland China hog weighing 1,050 pounds was led past him. The hog is entered by G. L. Burgess & Son, Bement, 111. From the ranch of Congdon & Battles, Yakima, Wash, came “Barbara C. B II.” champion Hereford bull at the American Royal Exposition. A late arrival was Good Stanway 11, winner of the grand championship among Herefords kt Kansas City, and owned by Cassidy & Son of Whiting. lowa. Program Is Crowded Owing to the crowded exposition program, the management said, it will be necessary’ to hold the fifth noncollegiate livestock judging contest the first thing tomorrow. Eighteen States will berepresented. Fifteen hundred farm boys and girls will participate Monday in the dedication of their new congress headquarters. All except two States will be represented. GOINGS GETS LIFE TERM Third of Trio in Siefennan Murder Pleads Guilty. By United Press SULLIVAN, Ind.. Nov. 30.—William Goings, 23, third member of the trio who on Sept. 18 were arrested for the murder of Otto Sieferman. former night watchman at a Terre Haute garage, w'as sentenced to life imprisonment by County Judge Walter Wood here today. Goings pleaded guilty. Clarence and Floyd Sheppard, the other two members of the trio were found guilty by a jury several weeks ago and also sentenced to life imprisonment.
