La tell Says a Dog’s Life Pays Well; Operalogues to Be Given at Claypool
One of America’s most unique entertainers is Alfred Latell, famous animal Impersonator who, with Elsie Vokes, is appearing at the Lyric this week in a skit called "The Pup.” Though a young man, Latell has been doing animal impersonations for many years. For four seasons he was with Maude Adams in “Peter Pan,” playing “Nana, * the St. Bernard dog. During 1916-17 he was with Ziegfeld’s “Follies.” Latell began his career with Montgomery and Stone in “The Wizard of Oz.” He has played in London \ th success, and la well known throughout Europe. Miss Voke'-. !:s vaudeville partner, is a niece of L. :cy Daly, and a member of the noted Vokes family of theatrical folk.
