The management of the Murat an-1 nounces today for the first time ' change In repertoire of the Wagnerian Opera Company, -which comes there for matinee and night performances Dec. 8. It was necessary, due to the itine- j rnry of their tour to make the change, and instead of giving at the matinee "The Marriage of Figaro" tne bill will be Wagner's opera. “Lohengrin." j At night the company will sing Rich erd Wagner’s opera, “Die Walkuere,” instead of “Tannhauser.” This change in repertoire should ere ate renewed interest in the coming of grand opera to Indianapolis, for to have two of Richard Wagner’s operas the same day and a repertoire cf “Lohengrin" and “Die Walkuere” something that opera lovers of this community may never have again. The Wagnerian Opera Company j consists of forty-five principals, sixty- i three members of the chorus, stage ana technical directors, and an orchestra of fifty-five men. This company arrived from Germany only six weeks ago and has played in this country this season at Washington. Pittsburgh j and Chicago They are playing this week in Milwaukee. The repertoire of the Wagnerian j Opera Company is unusually large and j includes, in addition ~ to Wagner's I “ring" cycle of sou- operas—“Rhein gold,” “Walkuere.’’ “Siegfried” and "Goetterdammerung." Wagner’s "Fly ing Dutchman.” his “Meistersinger”: Mozart's “Marriage of F'igaro;" ■ Strauss’ “Die Fledermaus” and Hum perdinck’s fairy opera, “Haensel and Gretel. w It Is due to the extraordinary con ! ditions existing in Europe, that the management >f the Wagnerian Opera Company is enabled to assemble such a roster of stars and an Orchestra Each of the forty-five principals has been through the long and rigid train ing necessary to secure a foothold in the leading opera houses of central Europe; and among the members of the chorus are many who have in seasons past sung important roles in the opera houses of Vienna, Dresden. Munich and Frankfort. Mendelssohn Choir in Annual Recital Soon Final rehearsals are now in progress for the fall concert of the Mendelssohn Choir, which is to be given at Caleb Mills Hail on Monday night. Nov. 26. Suzanne Keener, the young coloratura soprano of the Metropolitan Open Company, will appear in a song recital in conjunction with the choir. One of the principal numbers to be given by the choir will be Gounoud’s Gallia, the soprano solo part of which will be taken by Miss Keener. The Mendelssohn male chorus will lie heard in two numbers, a spirited military composition by J. H. Maunder. entitled “Border Ballad." the words by Sir Walter Scott, and “The Trumpeter,” by J. Airlie Dix. Modern Rusia opera will be portrayed In the rendition of Rimsky-Korsak.iff’s “Farewell Carnival.” frim th^opera “Snyegourotcha” or “Snowflake." Among the sacred numbers the choir will give the “Sanctus,” from the famous Pope Marcellus Mass by Palestrina. This Mass, composed in 1565, is generally conceded to be the greatest achievement of all ages in the 'amain of church music. It is the most complete system cleanser ever offered to the public, acting on BOTH upper and lower bowel and removing foul matter which poisoned the system for months and which nothing else can dislodge. It brings out all gases, thus immediately relieving pressure on the heart. It is astonishing the great amount of poisonous matter Adlerika draws from the alimentary canal—matter you never thought was in your system.
