it fatal dose of poison at Newport Tenn., Thon Wooley. 80, of F'a: 1 Rock, died Thursday, a few hours after a rtrst collapse. Mr. Wooley was 80 years old. For years, while his granddaughter was in school here, ihe two had been comrades. 11l health was given as the cause of the young woman’s suicide. Miss Cochran committed suicide in a room at a hotel Wednesday, while her fiance, Paul R. Rodfern, Columbus, 0., made frantic efforts to prevent her. Redfem had obtained a license to marry Miss Cochran. The girl’s body arrived at Shelbyville, Ind.. late Friday and was taken to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs Wilson Cochran, near Flat Rock. Funeral will be held there. Mambers of the family are unable to explain the girl’s act. Her engagement to Redfem is doubted. They knew nothing of the affair. Miss Cochran ocftipied a leading place in Shelbyville society. Besides her parents, three brothers, Russell. Thomas and Earl Cochran, and one sister, Mrs. Marie Weinantz, all of Shelby County, survive.
