BOOZE CAR SEIZED AT FLHARRISON Synthetic Gin Js Found — Driver Held, Synthetic booze, designed for soldiers at Ft. Harrison, is- today held at the police station while the alleged rum-runner, Earl McDonald, 32, of 3717 Halstead St., Chicago, driver of the booze car, rests in the city prison on charges of transporting liquor into a Government reservation, into the State, and of operating a blind tiger, according to poli'ee. George Winkler, Feder.-l prohibition group chief and Police Lieutenant Jones and squad arrested WlcDonald in his car at the Fort with ten gallons of synthetic gin. Two fifteen gallon stills, in full operation, six gallons of white mule and fifty gallons of wine and mash were seized by Lieutenant Johnson at the home of Mrs. Mary Monfrede, 40, of 776 N. Warman Ave., charged with operating a blind tiger. Frank Martin, 33, of 628 Olin Ave. received visitors, Thursday. His callers, Fenaral Officers Neilan and King and Lieutenant Johnson, arrested him for operating a blind tiger when they seized thirty-eight quarts of whisky and ten gallons of pure ilcohol. A. overseas war workers gather in Chicago Saturday night for their first seetlon,\U reunion, each will have with him his most valued souvenir. C. The property, said by a morning papers to have been the property of Mrs. Ed Jackson before she became the wife of the present secretary of state, was never owned by Mrs. Jackson. it was declared by both Mrs. Jackson and Cross. “I never owned a piece of property in Indiana in my life,” declared Mrs. Jackson. GofT of Milford. Decatur County, narrowly escaped death here when an auto truck which he was driving was struck by a Big Four freight train at a city street crossing.
