Ross of this city announced today that he had accepted the offer of the i board of Eastern Indiana Hospital \ for the Insane to succeed Dr. S. E. Smith as superintendent. He will take up his new duties about Dec. 1, when Dr. Smith goes to Indianapolis as provost of Indiana University. Toner To Open Headquarters Edward C. Toner, Anderson, who recently announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Governor, is expecting to open headquarters here soon. He has been in Indianapolis conferring with politicians concerning his campaign. William Foster, accidentally discharged a shotgun, Glen Vester, 19, of Went Teare Haute was instantly killed. The charge struck Vester in the back of the head. Two Arrested After Fight William Laffey, 436 Agnes St., and Cless-Ferguson, 44214 Blake St., were arrested on assault and battery charges after an argument today.
