AN EQUALIZER By Oscar Schmidt "The rich are growing richer and the poor are growing poorer”—if there is any truth in this assertion it is the aim of the Saving & Loan Association to reduce the proportion of truth in the sentiment By encouraging the owning of homes, the Association is helping the man of moderate means to get his start and at the same time is thwarting the schemes of the rent profiteer and the plans of the race-suicide promoting landlord. The person who invests his savings in a Saving & Loan Association becomes a direct factor in this worthy cause and he is himself benefited in turn by realizing a 6 per cent dividend for the use of his money.
