C. T. U. at the closing session of its annual convention. Mrs. Lillie Hoover was elected treasurer to succeed Mrs. R. H. Miller. Other resolutions passed were: Commending Mrs. Joseph L. Hogue, wife of the city controller, for her part in bringing about arrest of three alleged liquor law violators; urging Christian people to use every means to discourage law violations; commending motion pictures and literature which show the evil effects of the drug habit, and urging cooperation ■with relief agencies.
