tO JACKSON HAS ‘NEW’BABY BOY • Washington Orphan Chosen by Mrs, Thomas Marshall, There is a “new” baby boy at the home of Ed Jackson, secretary of State. Recently the Jacksons read that Mrs. Thomas R. Marshall was seeking a home for a baby boy. The Jacksons, who have four girls, but no boys, telegraphed Mrs. Marshall immediately. Mrs. Marshall replied that the baby already had been promised to some one else. A little later the Jacksons received a message from Mrs. Marshall that she had discovered a 20-months-old baby who needed a home. Mrs. Jackson immediately went to Washington and brought the baby back with her. His new name is Edward Lane Jackson, Jr. Edward’s father was killed in the Knickerbocker Theater disaster. His mother died when he was four months old. YOUNG PEOPLE PLAN CLUB Hoosier Order of Geneva Branch Will Be Organized Sept. 30.
