DISEASE MENTAL IN ORIGIN, SAYS SCIENTIST HERE Sar) Francisco Lecturer Gives Address at Theater, The human body is what the human mind makes it and disease, both in origin and character, is mental, Peter V. Ross of San Francisco, declared in an address at B. F. Keith's Theater at noon today. His subject was "Christian Science: The Destiny of Man." "Christian Science was discovered by Mary Baker Eddy through long and patient study of the Scriptures.” Ross said. “She found that Jesus, in healing the sick and setting aside material laws, was applying absolute science, which He understood and which others can understand and ap ply with like effect. “This mind thinks and pictures disease and necessarily externalizes what it thinks upon the body.” Drugs have no virtue in themselves, Ross declared. The universal faith in drugs accomplishes the supposed cure or change in thought when the drug is administered, he said. "Christian Science enlightens and liberates man by awakening him to the fact that Life is God and therefore is above any manifestation or suggestion of disease. “Disease loses its place in consciousness and disappears as naturally as any erroneous belief vanishes in the presence of truth.” LAKE DRAGGED FOR BODY Former Culver Aide Believed Drowned in Wisconsin.
