Can Clothing Be Sold On Credit at Low Prices? Until I entered the credit clothing business with the idea of lifting it to as high a plane as any other retail business, the system of buying clothing on credit was not favored by the average person. It was imagined that clothing sold that way must be higher in price and lower in quality owing to losses in collections and the expense of collecting the money. But I made up my mind tc charge nothing extra for credit and at the same time keep values as high as cash stores i nd yet sell at prices that showed only a very little profit The result is I now have 41 style shops and a million customers paying me only a dollar down on sls purchase and then a dollar a week, or $2 down on S3O purchase and then $2 a week. All these customers of mine have every advantage of service and value the cash store gives.
