WHY WOMEN LIKE EUROPEAN SHOPS Politeness Is Reason for Success, Speaker Says, “Why do American women go to London, Paris and other European cities to buy their clothes?” asked Miss Marie Chomel Thursday at the weekly luncheon of the members of the Advertising Club of Indianapolis. Miss Chomel has just returned from a three years’ tour of Europe. “It is because foreign business and foreign salesmanship is founded on politeness,” she asserted. Miss Chomel said politeness will flounder any women and Is bound to take every penny she possesses. Courtesy was not measured by the amount of the purchase. She declared that the people of Europe are thankful for the millions of tons of food supplied them . Car Is Stripped Tqw men drove up to a car owned by Benjamin F. Brumley, 454 N. Blake St., and removed two spot lights and a spare tire, valued at SIOO, while the car was parked in front of his home Thursday night, according to police reports today.
