Connie is seen as Dulcy Smith, the delightful dumb-bell, who always can be counted on to say just the wrcing thing at the wrong time. She trips her way blithely into trouble and out of it, always “spilling the beans," and never conscious of anything wrong. When her husband confutes to her that he is on the point of putting over a big merger which will be of great advantage to him, Dulcy decides to use her womanly guile and intuition to help him, and arranges a house party, inviting the financier with whom Gordon is trying to put over the deal, and his family, and several other guests, all totally unsulted to each other, and proceeds to mess things up generally, until Forbes, the business man. is on the point of leaving in disgust. It is only that he finally decides it: isn't possible to be quite as much of a dumbbell as Dulcy seems to be, that Gordon fS saved from complete financial ruin. Jack Mulhall. who was last seen at j the Circle with Norma Talmadge in ! “Within The Law,” apears as the husband, and Johnny Harron is Dulcy’s brother Bill, whom Dulcy insists upon calling Willie, much to his disgust and annoyance. Claude Gillingwatcr is the financier, and Anne Cornwall is his daughter Angela, who is engaged to Bill. Others in the cast are May Wilson, Andre De Behmger, Frederick Esmelton and Gilbert Douglas. In addition to the feature there will be a scenic with special musical setting. and the Circlette of News. The ranchman determines to work the mine for the benefit of the orphaned boy, but he had no sooner staked off the location than Kincaid comes on the scene for the purpose of claiming the mine himself. "Rip's Boozey Snooze,” a Billy Rhodes farce, will be the comedy. The mid-week change of program on Thursday will bring Herbert Rawlinson in "Railroaded.” The hero of many mystery and crook dramas Raw linson has never had a more unique vehicle for his talents than this story of the son of a famous Jurist who, tiring of his father’s continual exposition of the law. decides of his own free will to live "outside the law.” After a time he becomes a noted crook and for a while is successful in evading arrest. Eventually, however, he is caught and sentenced to prison with most interesting results following. In the star’s support are ]

Appreciation All people who do careful and splendid work in the theater do not "get written up.” Some times we have thrown praise at the Walker players and there have been times when we Just couldn’t see what it was all about. Patrons of the summer drama know and love Judith Lowry, Aldrich Bowker. Blanche Turka, George Somnee, Elizabeth Patterson, Ruth Hammond, Tom Powers and many of the others but we haven’t said a line all season about William A. Fields. Bill is "nothing” but the press agent, but it was through the honest and sincere efforts of this man that the newspapers got regarding Walker’s productions in advance. It is his duty to pave the way In advance. He has never been la.te with art or advance copy during the entire season and that is a wonderful record. Bring Bill back next season, Mr. Walker, and we will all be happy. (By W. D. H.)
