REVIEW OF C. M. T. C. BOYS IS WATCHED BY MANY VISITORS Only One More Parade Before Young Soldiers Break Camp, By DOROTHY STANHOPE Times Staff Correspondent CAMP KNOX, Ky„ Aug. 24.—Perhaps no prouder young men existed on Thursday afternoon than the cadet officers of the Citizens Military Trailing Camp when they took command of their companies at parade. Thtre were many persons on the visitors’ line, a long row of automobiles gave evidence of the interest which the rest of the camp showed >n the event. It was an inspiring sight, these 3,200 young men marching on to the parade ground and moving up to take their places in line. Stand Motionless There they stood motionless while their band played the “Star-Spangled Banner.” A background of dense wood encircled them. The band con eluded the national anthem, and with a snappy movement every hand finished the salute. Then the band struck up a stirring march and took up a quickstep down the parade ground with the young drum major twirling and balancing hi3 silver baton much as the most seasoned drum major would do. Pass Before Colonel Traub In quick order the companies fell into line marching in platoon columns, their proud young cadet captains, who have had one or two summer camps before this, marching proudly ahead of each company. As they passed Colonel Traub and the officer with him each guidon was lowered in salute, and when the national colors, side by side with the crepe-draped C. M. T. C. standard passed, the colonels receiving the parade and every military man in the visitors' line saluted, every civilian removed his hat. 50 KILLED IN WRECK Vienna to Warsaw Train Derailed; Falls Into River. A Puzzle a Day

Three Hindoo travelers were once joined by a group of three thugs, who secretly sought to murder them. The travelers, however, were aware of their intentions. They arrived at a river, and found a boat which would carry only two persons at a time. The arranged the crossing in such a way that no single traveler would be left alone with two thugs, or two travelers with all three thugs. How was the crossing accomplished? YESTERDAY’S ANSWER. s 4L-7 3-9 4xd ~j trio" S-n To draw the diagram shown above In one continuous line, is not a difficult problem. Several methods are possible.
