GOVERNMENT POOL JELIEVEDONWISE Officials of Farm Bureau Say Agriculturist Must Act. \ Not the Government, but the farmers themselves, must control a national wheat pool that will solve wheat marketing difficulties, officials of the Indiana Farm Bureau Federation have declared. President William H. Settle said that the plan whereby the Government would fix a “fair” wheat price, and would buv 200.000,000 bushels of wheat for storage would not remedy the situation, in his opinion The wheat probably would be sold later at a loss, he thought. Lewis McNutt, head of the Clay County Farm Bureau, notified State officials that a county farm bureau conference scheduled for Aug. 23 at Brazil to organize a co-operative marketing organization had been canceled. “We want to prevent any friction or possible misunderstanding.” said McNutt. “This meeting was not called in opposition to the State organization.” ATTENDS CHURCH FIRST ' TIME IN HALF CENTURY Hundreds Present at Homecoming of Wards 'Chapel M.
