CHICAGO TRAFFIC LAW VIOLATORS ARE JAILED Two Deaths Bring Auto Life Toll to 399 for 123. By United Press CHICAGO, Aug. 7.—-Five men were sentenced to jail and one held for the grand jury on a charge of manslaughter in an effort to reduce traffic casualties today.. The five sent to jail were sentenced for driving an automobile while intoxicated. Two over-night deaths brought the traffic toll to 399 for the jear. . ft

ABE MARTIN IS JAILED Held After Admitting Manufacture of Illicit Whiskey By Times Special COLUMBUS, Ind., Aug. 7.—Abe Martin, 70, of Brown County is in the county jail here. He is being held for officers from Brown County after having been arrested here. Martin admitted having helped three Indianapolis men manufacture illicit whisky on a farm near the Martin farm, according to the officers.
