TURKS CELEBRATE TREATY Consider Pact Is Great Victory for Diplomacy of Angora Government. By United Press CONSTANTINOPLE, July 25.—Orderly jubilation, salvos of harbor guns, display of flags and laurel and much firing of blank cartridges followed receipt of word that the Lausanne treaty had been signed. The Turks consider its accomplishment a great victory in that it brings them back into Europe and gives the Ottoman government complete control of Constantinople. GREEKS ARE HUMILIATED No Joy in Athens Over Signing of Lausanne Treaty. By United Press ATHENS, July 25. —There was no Joy in Greece over the signing of the Lausanne treaty which brought to an end the Greeco-Turkish war. Oats Bug Swarms Over Countryside Reports from various sections of the State indicate <he oats bug is with us again, sowing &s wild oats. He is characterized as small, blabk in color and disposition, can either fly or jump and is omnivorous. Harry F. Dietz, assistant State entomologist, today declared the insect’s worst depredations were meted out on the leaves of tender plants and flowers, it does not take an entomologist, however, to cite the irritation a single oats bug can do to a human. With his cute little probosis and myriad of legs he seems not like the microscopic insect he really is, but mot like a tractor, puffing, crawling and gnawing his way about the human anatomy.
