G. 0. P. WILL OPEN 1924 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN JUNE 12 Chairman Adams Will Call Conferences of State and National Leaders. By liAWREN'CE MARTIN (Copyright, 1923, by United Press) WASHINGTON, June 7.—John T. Adams, chairman of the Republican national committee, will begin next week active preparations for the Republican presidentlat campaign of 1924. Adams' first step will be a series of conferences with committeemen and State chairmen to bring about complete coordination of State and National party activities. The first conference will be held in Poston Tuesday, June 12. Later, Adams will confer in Chicago with party leaders from the Middle West. He probably will meet another group at Kansas City or St. Louis and will similarly cover the entire country. Adams will see President Harding before he starts out on this tour. The President may take occasion at that time to set at rest reports that he will ask that Adams resign before the 1924 convention.
