PAROLE GRANTED • JOLEEIOYNER Governor Reduces Sentences and Fines, Only one Marion County person Is among those to whom Governor McCray today granted a parole on recommendation of the State board of pardons. Lee Joyner, sentenced to the reformatory, March 13, 1922, for one to five years for issuing a fraudulent check, was one of four paroled. Lawrence Tucker, sentenced from Marlon County, Feb. 15, 1912, to the State Prison for ten to twenty years for burglary and larceny, was granted a reduction to four to twenty years. Sentence of Edward Bedell, pronounced here Oct. 7. 1921, of three to five years in the reformatory for vehicle taking, was reduced to an eighteen months to five-year term.
