BRIGHT LIGHTS DO , NOT SIOP THIEVES Smash Glass and Ransack Deal -Pharmacy, Smashing a side panel glass in the front door of the Deal Tharmacy, Sixteenth St. and Central Ave., burglars gained entrance during the right, although the corner is well lighted, the burglars ransacked the store without being detected. When J. R. Erganbright, clerk, opened the store at 7 a. m. today, he discovered the robbery and called the police. The pay telephone and $4 in change left in the cash register were missing. Narcotics in a safe had not been touched. CATHOLIC BODY FORMS Council Organizes In St. Philip Neri Parish. A Parish Council of the National Council of Catholic Men has been formed in St. Philip Neri’s parish. James E. Mooney, president of the Holy Name Society, presided at the organization meeting. The following officers were elected: James E. Mooney, president: Walter Patrick, vice presi dent; Louis Carvin, secretary, and Thomas Jones, treasurer. There will be a meeting of St. Joan k.f Arc's parish at the parish hall to"tight for the purpose of forming a parish council in that parish. Citizenship Conferences Three citizenship conferences will be held by the Indiana chapter of the National Boys’ Work Association this year. Work of the organization was discussed at the T. M. C. A. Thursday. The work of the Bedford association in establishing a summer camp near that city was lauded.

MASONS PLAN EXERCISES Knights Templar to Conduct Consecration Service at Franklin. Arrangements are beings made by Knighjs Templar of Indiana to attend consecration of the boys’ dormitory at the Masonic home at Franklin Sunday. Members of the order have been in structed to appear in uniform. The affair will be attended by Masons from all parts of the State. Leonidas P. Newby of Kniglitstown, grand master grand encampment Knights Templar of the United States, will be the principal speaker. Newby has just returned from a tour of the country, during which he made arrangements for the grand encampment at Seattle in July. 1925. NEW TRIAL IS GRANTED Supreme Court Holds Instruction in Murder Case Improper. A new' trial for Hallett C. McHargue, convicted in Delaware County, was ordered by the Supreme Court to day. Hallett w'as sentenced to life imprisonment. The higher court held the instructions of the lower court to the jury were improper. Mcllargue was charged with killing George Kling, Muncie. Dec. 23, 1920. He pleaded insanity.
