Reilly of New York, president of the Reserve Officers Association and editor of the Army and Navy Journal, at the twenty-third annual banquet of the Military Order of Foreign Wars at the Claypool Monday night. Another Indianapolis high school has scored a theatrical hit. Monday night the Shortridge High School June ‘23 class presented “A TailorMade Man," four-act comedy, at the Murat Theater. Douglas Dale, jtook the leading role as John Paul Jones, the aggressive youth. Miss Julia Bretzman was the heroine. Paul Bartlett gave a vivid characterization of the aged tailor, Mr. Huber Carl Winter played the part of the villain, Robert Harrington as Mr. Jelllcott, an Englishman, won applause for his gestures. Juanita Stamper, as Mrs. Kitty Dumpuy, and Pear! Strange, as her daughter, brought many laughs. Peter, the tailor’s said, was played by Birk Lefler

COLLEGE ACTORS PLEASE AOOIENGE Butler Club Presents Play by Nicholsons, j “Honor Bright,'’ three act comedy by Meredith and Kenyon Nicholson, was given by the Butler College Dramatic Club Monday night with a smoothness and finish which delighted the audience of students and friends who filled the hall of the Masonic Temple. Miss Marjorie Chiles, in the leading role, and Morrison Davis, as the hero, showed talent. Fred Schulz, as the Rt. Rev. William Carton, poetry-quo-ting bishop, gave the most finished bit of acting of the evening. Mary Francis Ogle, as the temperamental chorus girl, Dorothea Varntz, as Mrs. Carton, wife of the bishop, and Hazel Meier, as Barrington, also won applause. The other members of the cast were Taylor Creighton, Horace Storer, Stephen Badger, Winston Riley, Louise Padou, Helen Bedell, George Smith, Robert Efroymson and William Drake. The play was coached by Professor Rollo A. Talleott, head of the depart ment of public speaking. Scott B. Clifford was business manager; Hofard Ilowo, assistant business manager; Rollin Davis, treasurer: John Metzger, advertising manager; Harold Goode, assistant advertising manager; Alice Archibald, property manager; Janies Morgan, stage manager, and Paul Hill, art director. MANURED IN FAIL FROM TRAIN Harry West of Muncie in City Hospital, Harry West. 23, of Muncie, was In a serious condition at the city hospital today, after a mysterious accident. He has a deep scalp wound on the left side of his head and an injury to his back. West said he received the injuries while getting off of a fast passenger train at Anderson. Two other men stealing rides put him on the front end of a baggage car and took him to Indianapolis, he said. Police discovered the accident while making another investigation early to day. An automobile was driven in an alley between Alabama and New Jersey Sts., near Ft. Wayne Ave. Sergeant Ball caught the driver of the car and found It was Charles Woodson, colored, 320 Arch St. Woodson accompanied the police to a nearby garage where he said he was employed. They met Luther Standard, colored 2141 Highland PL, who said he had just returned from the city hospital where he had taken an Injured man. How can three sixes be placed together so as to produce the number seven? Yesterday’s answer: “How would you write, in figures, the number twelve thousand, twelve hundred and twelve?” Nearly every one -who tries to answer this puzzle will write down 121212. Those figures, however, represent one hundred twenty-one thousand, two hundred and twelve. The correct answer Is 13,212 (thirteen thousand, two hundred and twelve), as the “twelve hundred” must be carried into the thousand column.
