REV. WM. MAHER DIES IN MIL Funeral Monday for Pastor at Brownsburg, While waiting for an interurban car late Thursday afternoon at the Interurban terminal, the Rev. William Maher, 61. pastor of the Catholic Church at Brownsburg, Ind., died suddenly. Dr. Paul Robinson* coroner, said death was due to heart disease. The funeral will be at Brownsburg, Monday. The Rev. Maher had been in Indianapolis attending the semi-annual conference of the Catholic clergy of the Indianapolis district of the St. John's Church. He was conversing with several other clergymen when he fell over dead. The Rev. Maher was bom in Thurius. County Tipperary, Ireland, in 1861. He studied in Paris. He was ordanied to the ministry of the Catholic church July 14, 1889. His first pastorate was in the Island of Trinidad. He came to this country In the early nineties. He was assistant pastor of St. Patrick’s Church in Indianapolis from 1903 to July S, 1918. He then went to Brownsburg. 99 YEAR LEASE ON WYANDOT BLOCK 1 A. TANARUS, Hueber and Frank J. Geiger Acquire Property. A ninety-nine year lease on the Wy ‘ andot block, Ohio St. and Massachusetts Ave.. has been taken by A. J. Hueber of the A. J. Hueber Company, real estate dealers, and Frank J. Geiger, it was announced today. Rentals for the period of the lease will amount to more than $1,500,000. The lease was obtained from Mrs. Katherine Hall of London, England, and her sister Mrs. Amelia L. Howe of Lafayette, joint owners of the property. The building which is an old four structure of the flatiron type occupied property’ having a frontage of 132 feet cn Massachusetts Ave. and 112 feet cn Ohio St. It is understood that with the ex ception of slight alterations no changes in the structure will be made for several years.
